John has been a professional musician all of his adult life. In addition to being a master saxophonist (tenor, alto, bari, and soprano), he also doubles on clarinet, bass clarinet, flute and piccolo. Over the years he's played many different venues from coast to coast and beyond. These include theaters, night clubs, jazz festivals and cruise ships as well as tours with big bands and nationally acclaimed acts. John is the Director of the Prime Time Jazz Orchestra, one of San Antonio's premier Big Bands. John also keeps busy as a featured soloist with the "Sentimental Journey Orchestra", the "Crimson Jazz Orchestra", and the "Regency Jazz Quintet". He is also a regular performer at Jim Cullums' "Landing" on the Riverwalk. John's performance credits would fill several pages so here are just a few highlights:
