As most of you should know by now, the MOTU 828 digital audio inteface is dead. You will still be able to use virtual instruments and to freeze tracks. You will not be able to record any audio. You can import audio recorded elsewhere and it will play. All audio and virtual instruments will play throught the Mac's internal sound card whlich is routed to the patch bay and patched into channels 3 and 4 of the mixer (same channels we had the 828 going through). The outputs you see displayed for any audio or virtual instrument track will be (Built-in Output 1-2) and that cannot be changed (nor would you want to change it!).
If anyone wishes to record audio it can be done (at no charge) at my studio on Monday. Call or email me to book time. Times already booked on Monday are: 1:30 - 2:30 pm and 4:00 to 6:00 pm. We can start as early in the morning as you would like and I will consider going past 6:00 pm. Due to new extended jury times, I will only be available Monday.
